The Diss Heritage Triangle Trust

John Wilbye (1574 – 1638) was born in Diss, son of a successful farmer and landowner.

He was probably the most famous English composer of madrigals, which are part-songs for several voices, usually unaccompanied.

He published his first book of compositions in London in 1598, and his second book of compositions 1609
